SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION
II.1.1) Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority:
Operational contract wireless area network (WAN) for the police
department.
II.1.2) Type of contract and location of works, place of delivery or of
performance: Services.
Service category: No 7.
Main place of performance: The wireless area network shall serve approx.
500 connection points over the whole of Norway (including Svalbard) .
II.1.3) The notice involves: The establishment of a framework agreement.
II.1.4) Information on framework agreement: Framework agreement with a
single operator.
Duration of the framework agreement: Duration in year(s): 3.
II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): An operational
contract shall be signed with one service provider for a wireless area
network (WAN) for the police department.
The aim of the contract is to cover the police's need for a nationwide IP
based wireless area network (WAN). This includes Svalbard.

II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: The contract is for a nationwide
(including Svalbard) wireless area network. The network shall serve
approx. 500 connection points which are spread over the whole of Norway.
In addition dark fibre shall be used between the main central locations in
the south east of the country.
Based on previous data, an unbinding estimate of the operational
contract's value is between 18 000 000-20 000 000 NOK.
II.2.2) Options: Yes.
Description of these options: Option for an extension to the framework
agreement for 1 - one year.
II.3) DURATION OF THE CONTRACT OR TIME-LIMIT FOR COMPLETION: Duration in
months: 36 (from the award of the contract).

SECTION VI: COMPLEMENTARY INFORMATION
VI.3) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The qualification documents can be obtained

The awarding authority is making the procurement on behalf of:
PDMT (politiets Data og materielltjeneste) is a special organ under the
Directorate of Police which is responsible for ICT and material
administration in the police department, as well as the prosecution. PDMT
also serves other units and departments within government administration
with individual services/products.
The organisation has approx. 170 employees and it situated in Jaren in
Hadeland and in Majorstua in Oslo, as well as at regional offices in
Kristiansand, Bergen, Trondheim and Tromsø.
