Avian and Human Influenza Control and Preparedness Emergency Project

GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

1. The Royal Government of Cambodia represented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance has received grants financing in the amount of US$11 million equivalent from World Bank, JAPAN-PHRD and Avian and Human Influenza Facility towards the cost of the Avian and Human Influenza Control and Preparedness Emergency Project (AHICPEP) and it intends to apply the proceeds this grant to payment for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project.
2. The Project consists of the following components: (i) Component A – Animal Health System, (ii) Component B – Human Health System and (iii) Component C – Inter-ministerial Cooperation for Pandemic Preparedness and Project Coordinator and Institutional Strengthening. For the first 18 months, AHICPEP expects to procure vehicles and consulting services.
3. The Royal Government of Cambodia represented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance has recently appointed Crown Agents to act as International Procurement Agent for selected World Bank funded projects.
4. Procurement of contracts financed by the grant will be conducted thought the procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credit in May 2004 and revised in October 2006, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting Services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrower, May 2004, and revised October 2006.
5. Specified Procurement Notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures. and large-value consultant’s contracts will be published as they become available, in United Nation Development Business and the Development Gateway Dgmarket and in Cambodian Daily of Cambodia
