Bid/Contract Description: Rehabilitation of Babati Water Supply Immediate Works

Duration: 15 MONTHS FROM CONTRACT SIGNING

Scope of Contract: REHABILITATION OF BABATI WATER SUPPLY WORKS

- The replacement of the Mrara Intake pipeline with 150mm pipework, mainly uPVC
- The design and construction of a new sedimentation tank
- The construction of 3 no. slow sand filters
- The provision of chlorine dosing equipment
- The development of 6 no new boreholes including power supplies and collector mains
- The design and construction of 1 no. transmission main from the new wellfield
- The construction of 1 no. transmission main from the existing Maisaka wellfield
- Supply and install approximately 37.5km of distribution pipe work varying in size from 80mm to 200mm diameter
- The replacement/ installation of new valves within the water supply network
- The supply and installation of consumer and bulk water meters
The construction of 2 new 150m3 water storage tanks
