GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

INDONESIA

STRENGTHENING THE NATIONAL STATISTICAL SYSTEM OF INDONESIA PROJECT

The Republic of Indonesia has received a Policy and Human Resource Development (PHRD) Grant in the amount of US$ 1,000,000 equivalent from the Government of Japan toward the cost of the preparation a project “Strengthening the National Statistical System of Indonesia” (Indonesia STATCAP) with the World Bank. The objective of the Grant is to facilitate the acquisition of technical assistance by the project implementing agency to prepare the above project. The likely components of the Grant comprise:

i) Support to the Project Management Unit – this component will finance the service to provide efficient and high quality analytical, administration and operational support to the PMU Team;

ii) Detailed Implementation Planning and Requirements – the technical assistance under this component will finance implementation and coordination in building a roadmap for Business Process Reengineering and Change Management Strategy; website improvement strategy; Development of ICT strategy and enterprise architecture design; Development of HR mangement and Work Environment strategy; and

iii) Goods, Training and Workshops required for project preparation –this component will finance in-house training, workshops and goods for carrying out preparation activities.

The project will include the following components:

i) consultant firm that will help BPS-Statistic Indonesia in building roadmap and strategic planning framework for strengthening the relevant statistic produced by BPS;

ii) Individual Consultants in order to support the PMU in preparing the Indonesia STATCAP Project;

iii) Procurement of small goods such as computers through shopping method.

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition).

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and dgMarket and in Local Newspapers (such as Kompas or Media Indonesia).
