The Department of Veterans Affairs Network 22 Logistics Office, intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source procurement with Beckman Coulter under the authority 6.302-1. This proposed contract action is for a Cost-Per-Test contract for the Immage 800 Immunochemistry System Brand for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. Contractor shall provide all equipment, reagents/consumables, services and training to successfully satisfy the requirement. The VA believes that Beckman Coulter is the only company that can provide the services required. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer no later than April 3, 2009 at 12:00PM. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements for services. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely by the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
