Sure Start Quality and Development Team have identified the improvement of
quality play provision through an enabling environment outdoors as a major
area for development across the Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI)
full day care sector. This intelligence is based on our existing quality
assurance visits to settings. Therefore the provision of quality resource
collections for use outdoors is one of the strands that will be developed
through the Capital Grant funding that has been allocated to the Local
Authority.
