II.3) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND QUANTITY OR VALUE OF SUPPLIES OR
SERVICES: This is not a call for competition. This is a notice seeking
responses to invitations to a technical dialogue.
Fingal County Council operates a kerbside collection (brown bin) of
organic waste, the amount collected in 2008 was in the region of 10 000
tonnes. Prior to a regional treatment plant being available for this waste
the Council is seeking a service provider for the treatment of this waste.
As such the Local Authority wants to ensure that any specification takes
into account all the technical requirements in order to ensure a smooth
operation. To assist the Council in drawing up the appropriate tender
specification in relation to the service parties are invited to provide
relevant information, summarised in brief, by email to
recyclingtenders@fingalcoco.ie.
The object of the required service is the diversion of the waste from
landfill in accordance with the landfill directive.
