Individual supply contract forecast
1. Publication reference: EuropeAid/128194/D/SUP/MW.
2. Procedure: Open.
3. Programme: 8th EDF.
4. Financing: 8 ACP MAI 41 — 4th micro project programme (financing
agreement number 6582/MAI).
5. Contracting authority: The Government of the Republic of Malawi,
represented by the National Authorising Officer of the European
Development Fund, Lilongwe, Malawi.
6. Contract description: The contract is to supply, deliver and assemble
various items of school furniture including wooden desks, wooden chairs,
wooden tables, steel tables, wooden stools with metal legs, plastic
chairs; single steel bed frames, steel bunk beds frames, single mattresses
and wooden book shelves.
7. Indicative number and titles of lots: Tender is divided into 5 lots:
Lot 1 — school furniture in Northern Malawi (Chitipa, Karonga, Rumphi,
Mzimba, Mzuzu and Nkhata Bay, Likoma Island Districts).
Lot 2 — school furniture in Northern Central Malawi (Kasungu, Nkhotakota,
Ntchisi, Dowa, Salima, Lilingwe, Mchinji Districts).
Lot 3 — school furniture in Southern Central Malawi (Dedza, Ntcheu,
Machinga, Mangochi, Balaka, Zomba, Mwanza, Neno Districts).
Lot 4 — school furniture in Southern Malawi (Blantyre, Chiradzulu, Thyolo,
Phalombe, Mulanje, Chikwawa, Nsanje Districts).
Lot 5 — hostel and health furniture in Malawi (various districts).
8. Intended timing of publication of the procurement notice: 1.4.2009.
9. Additional information: None.
10. Legal basis: ACP-EC Partnership Agreement signed at Cotonou on
23.6.2000 as amended on 25.6.2005 and in 2008 (Annex IV).
Remarks:
There must be a minimum period of 30 calendar days between the publication
of this contract forecast and the publication of the corresponding
procurement notice.
