II.3) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND QUANTITY OR VALUE OF SUPPLIES OR
SERVICES: South Derbyshire District Council intends to invite tenders to
appoint a partner to provide a range of corporate services including
investment in, developing and delivering support and transactional
services through a partnering arrangement which will deliver improved
service quality, greater resilience and increased efficiencies. South
Derbyshire District Council proposes to progress the procurement using the
competitive dialogue process. It is anticipated that the core requirements
will comprise some or all of the following service areas:
— Finance and Property Services,
— Revenues Services,
— Benefits and Customer Services,
— IT & Business Improvement,
— HR & Organisational Development, This list is not exhaustive and
consideration will be given to the inclusion of additional services or
options for additional services which will assist in delivering the above
mentioned objectives of the procurement. The ultimate scope will therefore
be shaped during the procurement process so as to deliver the best
possible outcomes in terms of efficiency, employee protection, maintained
and improved performance and creation of employment opportunities within
the district. This procurement is being undertaken by South Derbyshire
District Council as lead authority (the "Procuring Council"). This
procurement may also be undertaken for the benefit of any other public
organisation situated within the Counties of Derbyshire, Leicestershire
and Staffordshire. It is anticipated that the Contract Notice will be
published in April 2009.

is to alert the market to a forthcoming tender, and to generate interest
in our requirements. South Derbyshire District Council does not commit to
letting a contract or contracts for all or any part of the service. South
Derbyshire District Council reserves the right to divide the contract into
Lots. Any future procurement relating to this project will be carried out
strictly in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2006.
