Individual service contract forecast
1. Publication reference: EuropeAid/128004/D/SER/BZ.
2. Procedure: Restricted international tender.
3. Programme: Special framework of assistance to the ACP countries
traditional suppliers of bananas to the EU — Belize.
4. Financing: Budget line B — 21.06.05.
Financing agreement # B-21.06.05/856/03 (SFA 2007).
5. Contracting authority: Ministry of Economic Development, Commerce,
Industry and Consumer Protection, Belmopan, Belize.
6. Nature of contract: Fee-based.
7. Contract description: This project is intended to provide the Ministry
of Education with a plan to improve the delivery of school age and adult
age education. The main elements to be included are the strengthening of
current curricula and the development of curricula for new courses at the
secondary/high school and adult education levels. The project is also
expected to provide a plan to attract, develop and upgrade the skills and
qualifications of educational managers and teaching staff in the Banana
Belt of Belize.
8. Indicative budget: EUR 500 000.
9. Intended timing of publication of the procurement notice: 6.2.2009.

11. Legal basis: Council Regulation (EC) No 856/1999 — special framework
of assistance to traditional ACP suppliers of bananas to the European
