Description: Powerlink Queensland invites offers for the construction of a concrete platform for a 275kV reactor at Ross Substation, details as follows: 1. Construct the concrete reactor platform with bund walls 2. Install FRC 225mm diameter piping and make connection to existing oil separation tank. Re-seal bitumen road where the piping traverses existing road. There may be a requirement to divert two existing 90mm diameter UPVC drainage pipes to suit the FRC piping installation. 3. Install 100mm diameter, underground PVC conduit to existing cable pit and break into existing cable pit. Restore existing gravel filled drain and general ground gravel layer after laying conduit. The conduit will cross a 240V AC lighting cable near the cable pit. Works near the cable pit are under live 275kV substation plant. The conduit also crosses under live 275kV bus bar. 4. Install underground earth grid and earthing tails. Connect new earth grid section to existing earth grid. 5. Install reactor delivery road, 300mm thick road base, no bitumen. It is a Condition of Tender Documents that a Tender will not be considered from any Tenderer who fails to attend a Site Inspection. An initial Site Inspection is being held on Tuesday 27th January 2009, commencing at 01:00pm (Queensland Time). If Tenderers are not available to attend the above Site Inspection, other inspections may be arranged, at the discretion of Powerlink Queensland, by contacting Brad Thompson on 0437 012 610 or 3860 2770. Prospective Tenderers shall contact Brad Thompson on 0437 012 610 or 3860 2770 prior to the above date, to confirm their attendance. Failure by a Tenderer to attend a site inspection will render their tender non-conforming. All costs incurred by the Tenderer in attending the inspection shall be borne by the Tenderer. Tenders close via the Queensland Government Website at 2:00pm (Queensland Time) 10th February 2009.
