GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

Project ID No. P107139

The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing in the amount of
US$ 29 (Twenty Nine) Million equivalent from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the Sustainable Land Management Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project.

The project will include the following components:

(i) Consulting Services (Capacity building, Social and Soil monitoring, Land cover monitoring, Training on knowledge management, Watershed monitoring and project monitoring & evaluation)

(ii) Goods, Works and non-consulting services (Communal Land Rehabilitation, Gully Rehabilitation, Farmland Development, Homestead Development, Community Infrastructure, land certification, Vehicles, Motorcycles, Digital Ortho photo Maps, Handheld GPS, Differential GPS, measurement related watershed development civil works).

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement Under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits” dated May 2004 (revised October 2006) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers” dated May 2004 (revised October 2006).

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s International Competitive Bidding (ICB) Procedures and contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and dgMarket and Local Ethiopian Herald English News Paper.

Interested eligible bidders who wish to be included on the mailing list to receive invitations to bid under ICB procedures, and interested consultants who wish to receive a copy of advertisement requesting expressions of interest for consultancy contracts, or those requiring additional information, should contact the address below.
