The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southeast located in Jacksonville Florida is hosting an Industry Day on 29 January 2009. The Industry Day will provide a venue for NAVFAC Southeast to discuss its mission, goals and contracting opportunities with industry. NAVFAC Southeast provides Engineering support to the Warfighter, including major and minor construction, A/E design, environmental and facility support services. By establishing this event, it is the goal for NAVFAC SE to have a forum in which to better communicate its requirements and increase resources by sharing information. The event will be held from 8:00 AM until 1200 PM (EST) in Jacksonville, Florida at the University Of North Florida Small Business Center, 12000 Alumni Drive. Directions:Attendees can take Butler Blvd East from Interstate 95, exiting at Kernan Blvd.. Alumni Drive will be just north of this exit and intersects with Kernan. There is a left turn lane at the signal light. The Small Business is immediately on your left and there is ample parking. Prior to Industry Day, NAVFAC Southeast will post the finalized agenda and more specific information on the event. Who Should Attend:Any contractors interested in contracting and subcontracting opportunities with NAVFAC Southeast. Industry representatives interested in attending this event should contact Ms. Tracy Kembel at (904) 542-6919 or email Tracy.Kembel@navy.mil no later than 15 January 2009. Firms are limited to two representatives per company as space is limited. Ms. Kembel will compile an attendee list consisting of name, company, email address and phone number. The listing will be provided to all attendees after Industry Day is completed.
