The Ministry of Health has received a loan from the International Bank forReconstruction and Development (IBRD), in an amountequivalent to US$ 235,000,000.00 of agreement loan and intends tousethe funds to make payments, FOR THE ACQUISITION OF GOODS and CONTRACTING of SERVICES and CONSULTANCY related to thisproject.

Theproject includes the following components: goods, services, in the amount of US$ 715,500.00 and consultancy, in the amount ofUS$1,620,000.00 in the period comprised between01/01/2009 and 06/30/2010.

The bidding for contracts financed by loans and credit shall be conducted in accordance with the standard procedures asdescribed in a publication by the World Bank, entitled Guidelines: Acquisitions with the IBRD loans and IDA credit, currentedition, and it can include all bidders whose countries of origin are eligible, as specified in those rules. Consultancy serviceswill be selected in accordance with the Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank borrowers, currentedition.

 As soon as they become available, specific ads will be posted for contracts to be offered under the International BiddingProcedures (IPL)and World Bank consultancy to high-cost contracts, in the UN Development Business anddgMarket.

# Permanent training event in RAS(Redes de Atenção aSaúde, literally Healthcare Networks);

# Trainning on technical skills for the managing teamthe project (Ministry of Health and states);

# Contracting of consultants for execution of continuingtraining in RAS (various);

# Selection and contracting of consultants to review thecurrent tools and management of SUS and drafting of proposals for development of RAS;

# Selection and contracting of consultants to design a model and to develop the educational materials tobe used in the training of technicians in the RAS risk classification and hosting;

# Selection and contracting of consultants to design the system of tracking, monitoring and evaluation ofthe Project;

# Selection and contracting of consultants for studies of the impact of subprojects (thebaseline);

# Selection and contracting of consultants for studies of baseline and assistance lines prioritized bythe Health Ministry.
