GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

The Republic of Bulgaria has received a grant in the amount of US$ 475 000 equivalent from the World Bank Institutional Development Fund (IDF) toward the cost of the project “Strengthening of Anti-Corruption Capacity of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria”, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project.
The project includes the following components:
Component 1: Strengthening of the Office of Prosecutor General (OPG) strategic focus, accountability, professionalism and institutional capacity, through formulation of a strategy document, provision of training and development of case tracking and management system and automated income and asset declaration system in OPG.
Component 2: Improvement of transparency and accountability of OPG functions, through forming partnership between the OPG and civil society in monitoring the progress of anti-corruption efforts, and public information campaign with regard to OPG's anti-corruption efforts.
Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (edition May 2004, revised October 2006), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (edition May 2004, revised October 2006).
Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business, dgMarket, local daily newspaper and on the web site of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Interested eligible bidders who wish to be included on the mailing list to receive invitations to bid under ICB procedures, and interested consultants who wish to receive a copy of advertisement requesting expressions of interest for consultancy contracts, or those requiring additional information, should contact the address below.
