ARMENIA

GEOFUND APL2- ARMENIA GEOTHERMAL PROJECT

GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund has applied for a GEF Grant (in the amount of US$ 1.8 million equivalent toward the cost of the Armenia Geothermal Project, and it intends to apply part of the grant proceeds to make payments for consulting services to be procured under this project.

The project will include the following phases:

Phase one: This will include geological field works (scouting) and magneto-telluric (MT) sounding of the two selected potential geothermal fields.

Phase two: This will involve performing of three dimensional (3D) seismic survey. The 3D survey will allow sketching the outline of the subsurface structure and encompassing the depth of potential geothermal reservoir, its thickness and extent, and the presence of major fault zones.

Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May, 2004).

Specific procurement notices for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and dgMarket.
