4. Financing: IPA 2008 with co-financing from Kosovo Consolidated Budget
(KCB).
5. Contracting authority: The European Commission Liaison Office to
Kosovo, Pristina, Kosovo.
6. Description of the contract: The purpose of this project is to upgrade
the transmission network in Kosovo by increasing the 110 kV capacity and
improving the quality of supply.
The project includes the following activities: design, manufacturing,
supply, construction of a new Ferizaj 2 (400/11 kV) substation and related
overhead lines and adaptation works in 2 existing substations (Bibaj and
Gjilan 1), site testing and commissioning.
The new Ferizaj 2 substation will be located in the area of Ferizaj about
40 km from Prístina, Kosovo.
7. Indicative number and titles of lots: Lot 1— design, manufacturing,
supply, construction and commissioning of Ferizaj 2 substation and supply
of two additional 110 kV bays and related adaptation works at the existing
Bibaj and Gjilan 1 substations.
Lot 2 — design, manufacturing, supply, construction and commissioning of
overhead lines for connection of Ferizaj 2 substation in the 400 kV and
110 kV transmission network.
8. Scheduled publication date of the procurement notice: February/March
2009.
9. Other information: Not applicable.
10. Legal basis: IPA Council Regulation (EC) No 1085/2006 as adopted on
17.7.2006.
