II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: Construction of Medical School building
area circa 4 295m2 to include, lecture theatre, two seminar rooms,
clinical Skills rooms.Anatomical skills rooms, PBL classrooms, research
suite, computer suites, catering facilities along with academic and
administrative offices.
28 Student accomodation apartments providing 100 beds in three seperate
blocks.
Associated groundwork's hard and soft landscaping.
II.2.2) Options: Yes.
Description of these options: Provisional timetable for recourse to these
options.
Number of possiable renewals.
In case of renewable supplies or service contracts, setimated time frame
for subsequent contracts.
SECTION III: LEGAL, ECONOMIC, FINANCIAL AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
III.1) CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE CONTRACT
III.1.1) Deposits and guarantees required: The successful main contractor
tender must provide a bond, issued by an approved bank or insurance
company, in the sum of 25 % of the Contract price for the due performance
of the contract. The successful subcontractor tenderers may be required to
enter into a collateral agreement with the employer and provide a bond on
this agreement, issued by an approved bank or insurance company in the sum
of 25 % of the subcontract price. Other insurance will be required in
accordance with the conditions of contract. All successful contractors may
be required to enter into a collateral agreement with a bank, building
society or any other entity providing funds for the project.
III.1.2) Main financing conditions and payment arrangements and/or
reference to the relevant provisions regulating them: Payments wil be made
monthly in accordance with the relevant clauses of the new government form
of contract.
III.1.3) Legal form to be taken by the group of economic operators to
whom the contract is to be awarded: If any group of contractors is
proposed, they will have a legally formed entity registered in Ireland on
or before the award of contract, and each member shall have joint and
several liability for the contract.
III.1.4) Other particular conditions to which the performance of the
contract is subject: No.
III.2) CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
III.2.2) Economic and financial capacity: Information and formalities
necessary for evaluating if requirements are met: (1) All candidates will
be required to provide a reference from their bank.
(2) All candidates will be required to provide evidence of relevant
professional risk indemnity insurance.
(3) All candidates will be required to provide a statement, covering the 3
previous financial years including the overall turnover of the candidate
and the turnover in respect of the activities which are of a similar type
to the subject matter of this notice.
(4) All candidates will be required to provide statements of accounts or
extracts from those accounts relating to their business.
III.2.3) Technical capacity: Information and formalities necessary for
evaluating if requirements are met: Refer to the prequalification
questionnaire.

IV.2.1) Award criteria: The most economically advantageous tender in
terms of the criteria stated in the specifications, in the invitation to
tender or to negotiate or in the descriptive document.
