Sealed Tenders are invited for the Cleaning Service of New Municipal Council Building Complex situated in Galle Road, Mount Lavinia (at the beginning of Dharmapala Mawatha) from reputed institutes engaged in similar services.
Qualifications for submission of tenders:- a) Should have involved in providing of cleaning services for 5 consecutive years as at 01-11-2008. b) Number of employees shouldn't be less than 100 in the payroll. c) Should be able to prove with documentary evidence that the employees are paid their salaries as per the Wages Board Ordinance and contributions for the Employees' Provident Fund and the Employees' Trust Fund are paid for them.
The relevant tender forms could be obtained by handing over a written request on a business letterhead to the Department of Public Health and Solid Waste Management of Dehiwala - Mount Lavinia Municipal Council and upon a payment of Rs. 500/ = of non-refundable tender fee and Rs. 2500/ = of refundable tender fee from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on working days. Tenderers are advised to inspect the locations and submit their quotations, (for any inquiries in this regard, please contact the Telephone Number 2735438 of Solid Waste Section).
Sealed tenders could either be sent to the Municipal Commissioner Dehiwala - Mt. Lavinia Municipal Council, Dehiwala by Registered Post or placed in the tender box kept at the Municipal Commissioner's Office. "Tender for the Cleaning Service of the Municipal Council Office" should clearly be written on the top left-hand corner of the envelope and the tenders should be submitted in two separate envelopes as original and duplicate.
Tender forms will be issued only up to 3.00 p.m. on 01-12-2008 and tender could be handed over till 10.00 a.m. on 04-12-2008. The tenders received after that will be rejected. Tenders will be opened at. 10.3Q a.m. on 04-12-2008.
Dehiwala - Mt. Lavinia Municipal Council reserves the right to reject any tender / tenders without giving any reason whatsoever.
