THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the U.S. House of Representatives is seeking a firm or firms with demonstrated capabilities and expertise to provide cutting-edge, evolving, innovative technologies (or existing technologies modified for alternative uses)for the purpose of reducing energy consumption, promoting energy efficiency, accomplishing cost savings, and to demonstrate the effectiveness of these innovative or modified technologies in the U.S. House of Representatives pursuant to the Speaker's Green the Capitol initiative. Innovative technologies of interest to the CAO include new methods for using energy more efficiently, generating electric power in a more sustainable manner, improving the efficiency of electric power production and lowering the costs of existing renewable power systems. For each project involving new or modified technologies that may be undertaken by the U.S. House of Representatives, potentially selected firm or firms (in the event of multiple award) will work collaboratively with the House staff to provide written evaluation and report on the performance of various technologies. These may include an analysis of the extent to which a technology performs under operational conditions, reduces energy consumption and promotes energy efficiency and cost savings in the U.S. House of Representatives facilities. Innovative technologies may also include waste stream, water conservation, and other Green the Capitol initiatives. All Service Disabled Veteran (SDV) small businesses certified HUB Zone small businesses, certified 8(a) small businesses, and other certified small businesses are encouraged to respond. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This synopsis is a market research tool being used to determine the best of class of available innovative technologies. It is requested that interested businesses submit to the contracting officer a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 15 pages in length (excluding supporting documents, diagrams, etc.), single spaced, 12 point font minimum, on letter size paper 8 ½ x 11) demonstrating ability to provide innovative demonstration project. The documentation shall address, at a minimum, the following (1) Relevant Experience to include experience in performing efforts of similar projects, (2) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s) available, DUNS number, (3) Other information to support capability to conduct demonstration project.
