The U.S. EPA in Washington, DC has a requirements for implementing a public transportation fare media program at the headquarters building located in the Washington, D.C. EPA intends to negotiate a sole-source follow-on procurement with WMATA.The Federal Government Agency participation in specific transit benefit programs is authorized by Public Law 103-172. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) provides public transportation fare media which is accepted by virtually all public transportation providers, including Metro rail, Metro bus, Commuter ride bus service, and several incorporated van pools. The WMATA issues ?Metrocheks? which may be purchased directly from them and subsequently exchanged for transportation services from participating providers. The contract will be an ID/IQ fixed rate contract for a base period with 4 1-year options period is contemplated. This is NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
