The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Contracting and General Services Office in Portland, Oregon has a requirement for rip rap placement and/or culvert installation at two separate locations at the Coleman National Fish Hatchery located in Anderson, CA. Location 1, at the west wall of the hatchery ladder entrance requires placement of a metal bulkhead, 30" diameter culvert and rip rap armoring. The work area is bordered by a 12' high bank with a 60 degree slope and the contractor will have to supply lifting and hoisting equipment to place the material. Equipment operator must be certified. Location 2 is the upstream side of the hatchery river ladder and earth drain channel. Contractor will have to place rip rap in this area and some of the work will be performed in the water. The NAICS code for this project is 238990. Project magnitude is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Award will be based on 'best value' to the government with technical factors including experience and past performance more important than price.
