Metropolitan Borough Council wishes to invite tenders for the provision of
an Adhoc Taxi Transportation Service for Council requirements. The service
will be required mainly within the borough, but there will be occasions
that journeys out of the borough may also be required.
The contract will be for a period of 12 months with an option to extend
for a further period of two 12 months periods.

will enable the download to commence.
Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for service providers who
will be pro-active in continually improving the nature of the service to
its clients, and who will work in partnership with the Council to consider
innovative ways of improving efficiency, whilst at the same time, reducing
costs.
The agreement will initially be for, but not limited to, Knowsley. The
authority letting the agreement requires the establishment of a Framework
Agreement for the Provision of an Ad Hoc Taxi Transportation Service for a
period of 1 year by or on behalf of UK Public Sector/Bodies. These will
include Central Government Departments and their Agencies, NHS Bodies,
Local Authorities, Police and Emergency Services.

SECTION VI: COMPLEMENTARY INFORMATION
VI.2) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Value of the contract.
The contract is for 500,000 per year. The contract will be for a period of
12 months with an option to extend for a further period of two 12 month
periods.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: The Council will
incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point when
information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers.
This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from
the contracting authority before the contract is entered into. Applicants
have 2 working days from the notification of the award decision to request
additional debriefing and that information has to be provided a minimum of
3 working days before the expiry of the standstill period. Such additional
information should be required from the officer named in this contract
notice or in the letter/email providing the information about contract
award if different. If an appeal regarding the award of a contract has not
been successfully resolved the Public Contracts Regulation 2006 (SI 2006
No 5) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of
harm by a breach of rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales
and Northern Ireland). Any such action must be brought promptly (generally
within 3 months). Where a contract has not been entered into the court may
order the setting aside of the award decision or order the authority to
amend any document and may award damages. If the contract has been entered
into the court may only award damages. The purpose of the standstill
period referred to above is to allow parties to apply to the courts to set
aside the award decision before the contract is entered into.
