The U.S. Army, Fort Carson, Colorado intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Improve Group for a follow-on purchase request to add additional storage units to the Arms Room Storage System that was previously procured. The following items will be procured: 5 each Vertical Bin Systems, 14 each cabinet assemblies and 1 each steel pistol rack. This is sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.320-1) and (FAR 13.501). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 3 day from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in SUFFICIENT detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation. Responses are due 19 September, 2008. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to lachiana.hamilton@conus.army.mil. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted
