The Government of Romania has received a loanfrom the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward thecost of Supply of the Rural Education Project, andit intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract forG/REP/52/Videoprojectors andmultifunctionals (copy machine, printer and scanner)/2008. Bidding will be governed by the World Bank's eligibility rules andprocedures. The Preuniversitary Education ProjectsManagement Unit acting on the behalf of Ministry of Education, Research and Youth now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders forsupply of videoprojectorsand multifunctionals (copy machine, printer and scanner), to be delivered to 2,030 schools in all 41counties that have rural area, within 24 (twenty-four) weeks after Contract signature. Distribution and installation to schools atcounty level shall be also included in the contract. Bidding will be conducted using theInternational Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's "Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDACredits", January 1995 (revised January and August 1996, September 1997 and January 1999) and is open to all Bidders from eligiblesource countries as defined in the Guidelines that meet the minimum qualification criteria as described within Section II.
