The Bureau of Meteorology is currently planning for the construction of a new meteorological satellite data reception facility to be located near Humpty Doo, 65 km south east of Darwin, NT. The Bureau is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified contractors to undertake the site works, infrastructure, building, generator and steel structure works associated with the establishment of this new satellite reception facility by November 2008. The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, in accordance with the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, revised September 2005, reissued June 2006, applies to this project.
