II.1) DESCRIPTION

Framework agreement for purchase of shipment services for the Awarding
Authority.

Main place of performance: Oslo and Mo i Rana, Norway.
II.1.3) The notice involves: The establishment of a framework agreement.
II.1.4) Information on framework agreement: Framework agreement with
several operators.

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Shipments
(freight) for the National Library of Norway (the Awarding Authority). The
awarding authority requests tenders for the following services:
- Letter packets: domestic shipments (from 20 grams to 1 kg) and
international shipments (from 20 grams to 2 kg).
- Parcel shipments: domestic shipments (from 1 kg to 35 kg) and
international shipments (from 2 kg to 35 kg).
- Pallet freight (more than 35 kg).
- Moving of historical materials and special collections: moving of books,
manuscripts, periodicals, films, photographic material, various types of
audio formats, etc. The Awarding Authority will require services in
connection with packing, loading, transporting and unloading, intermediate
storage, if any.
- Digital radio archive: moving of audio materials which shall be
digitized at the Awarding Authority. Fixed delivery locations and
collection locations.

Description of these options: The contract period is for 2 years with
option for a further 1+1 year(s) prolongation. (Option for the awarding
authority to prolong the contract. This means that the total contract
period will be maximum 4 years).

months: 24 (from the award of the contract).
