OGCbuying.solutions requires to establish a framework agreement for use by
or on behalf of UK public sector bodies in England, Scotland, Wales and
Northern Ireland. These will include Central Government Departments and
their Agencies, Non-departmental public bodies, NHS Bodies, Local
Authorities, Police and Emergency Services, Educational Establishments,
Utilities and Registered Charities. The above Public Sector Bodies have a
need for: the awarding authority will look to award a single framework,
almost certainly multi-sourced, consisting of a wide ranging portfolio of
offerings across the required scope i.e. a single lot based on a
"solution" approach resulting in suppliers offering a range of products
from small single function desk top printers to large print room high
volumeproducts, both mono and colour,networked and non-networked.
Successful suppliers will also be expected to provide a "Managed Services"
offering, recognising that what this provision actually means to the
customer will differ from end-user to end-user. The Public Sector Bodies
may decide to hold an electronic reverse auction on the reopening of
competition among the parties to the Framework Agreement(s). Duration of
the Framework agreement is 2 years with an option to extend for a further
2 years.
