The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) seeks to promote the health, wellness and productivity of our workforce by providing House Members and staff access to a Bicycle Sharing program.
The House is interested in acquiring the services of a contractor to provide and maintain at least 30 bicycles. Additional bicycles may be ordered later depending on the success of the program and subject to availability of funding. The contractor will deliver the bicycles fully assembled and ready for use and provide ongoing preventative and remedial maintenance. The CAO seeks a contractor that is currently located and operating appropriate facilities within 15 miles of the U.S. Capitol Complex. To the extent practicable the contractor shall use products containing recovered materials, environmentally preferable products and services, energy-efficient products and services, and products and services that utilize renewable energy technologies.

Interested parties can obtain a copy of this RFP by accessing the above website. The House encourages small, small disadvantaged, women-owned, and veteran-owned small business concerns to apply. This solicitation is not a set aside.
The deadline for receipt of offers/proposals is April 2, 2008.
No verbal telephone requests for the solicitation package will be honored.
