DESC: Provide a committed source of supply of medical-grade liquid bulk oxygen at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Alexandria, LA. The contractor shall provide a contractor-owned tank with an appropriate back-up system (i.e. reserve tank or cylinder bank) and liquid bulk oxygen at VAMC Alexandria, 2495 Shreveport Highway, Pineville, LA 71360-4044. The VAMC Alexandria is contemplating a firm-fixed price contract. It is the Governments decision to issue an Unrestricted Request for Quote (RFQ) based on market survey and lack of responses to previous notices. The proposed contract will have a twelve-month base period, on or about 6/1/2008 through 5/31/2009, with one optional one-year provision. The NAICS code is 325411. The VA will award a contract resulting from the RFQ to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the RFQ will be most advantageous to the Government. The following factors will be used to evaluate quotes Price and Past Performance. Hard copy of the RFQ will be available not earlier than 4/9/2008 by contacting the Contracting Officer, Greta Keller, 318-473-0010 Ext 2236 or e-mail greta.keller@va.gov. Offerors are advised that they are responsible to contact the Contracting Officer to register for the Bidders Mailing List in order to receive notification of any Amendments. For obtaining amendments, it is essential that offerors register on bidder's mailing list for this solicitation to receive notification of amendments. QUOTES ARE DUE 4/23/2008 by 2:00 p.m. CST.
