II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The National
Library of Norway (NB) is among the largest of the cultural institutions
within the Norwegian Ministry of Church and Culture, and has approximately
350 employees located in Oslo and Mo i Rana.
NB is led by the National Librarian. The institution is organized into
four production activity related departments and two administrative
departments. The organization is geographically located in two towns; Oslo
and Mo i Rana.
NB is Norway’s primary source of knowledge about Norway, Norwegians and
Norwegian conditions and culture. The institution’s main responsibility is
to preserve and give access to information on the Norwegian cultural
heritage. Its collections contain information on a wide specter and on
many media formats within all categories of media. NB’s collections do
also to some extent contain foreign information/publications.
The library wish to enter into a new two year framewoork agreement on
purchases of travel agency services, The contract will replace our present
agreement.
Our aim in this area of operations is to establish framework agreements
that contribute towards the institutions need for cost-effective
acquisitions, and secure a good quality and service in our use of travel
related services.The contracts main objective is to secure optimal prices
on travel agency services and ticet purchases at the most favourabel
prices in the market.
The agreement shall aim at simplifying acquisitions, reducing transaction
expences, and simultaneously securing the quality of the services, and
securing delivery terms in accordance with the users need and
expectations.
The contract will include all travel agency services, purchases of
tickets, selfbooking systems and hotel accomondations for The National
library'semployees at the following two locations:
— Henrik Ibsens gate 110, Oslo,
— Finsetveien 2, Mo i Rana.
The agreement must be made accessible for all users/purchasers within the
National Library that is included by the agreement.
We refer to our contract document for further descriptions on mandatory
and optional services to be supplied by the contract, and The national
Library's travel policies. (Enclosed as electronic ammentments to this
notice).
The standard contract that this agreement will be based on is "Standard
government agreement on consultancy assignments (the consultancy
assignment agreement)" but with some modifications specified in our
contract document. (Electronic ammendment)
The National Library retain a onesided option for prolonging the contract
period by up to one additional year.
The contract partner choosen for this contract will be the exclusive
supplier of these services to The National Library during the contract
period.
