INSTRUCTIONAL AND CURRICULAR LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Technical Specifications:

General Description of Service: Conduct a one-month capability-building program on excellence in instructional and curricular leadership/management in schools for one thousand five hundred (1,500) public elementary and high school principals and administrators via flexible learning delivery. In five (5) batches of about 300 learners to be conducted simultaneously in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, six venues in three (3) sites.

Specific description of services to be provided:

1. Provision of an eSolution on Instructional and Curricular Leadership and Management through the
utilization of an innovative package, which is competency-based, flexible learning and multi-modal
educational leadership courseware (with print modules coupled with on line interactions-web-based
discussion/forum);
2. Facilitation of enrolment to short courses in coordination with its partner institutions (TEIs) and of
granting of a 3-unit credit (provided the learner meets the prescribed standards of the partner
institution) in appropriate graduate education program of the TEI and granting of international
certificate of course completion;
3. Provision of a learner's kit comprising of: 1) course primer, 2) two self-instructional modules, 3)
compilation of all required readings, 4) learner's orientation handbook, 5) a pen, and 6) flexible
learning manual;
4. Provision of access to online professional education resources such as Association for Supervision and
Curriculum Development (ASCD) and Harvard Education Review (HER) for the duration of the short
courses;
5. Provision of a flexible learning tutor for flexible learning classes;
6. Participation of credible/expert resource persons from partner institutions (TEIs) in the Philippines and
from other Southeast Asian countries;
7. Assessment of individual learner achievement;
8. End-of-program evaluation; and
9. Documentation of all course proceedings and submission of monthly/progress reports and completion
reports.
