SUPPLY OF VEHICLES

IFB № ACSD/ICB/07/01

IDA Credit H0210-SL

1. The Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone has applied for a Grant from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of an Accelerated Child Survival and Development Program and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant to payments under the contract for IFB № ACSD/ICB/07/01. Bidding will be governed by the World Bank’s eligibility rules and procedures.

2. The Local Government Finance Department (LGFD) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply of Vehicles:

Bidders shall quote for any or all lots, but in any case for the required quantities. Partial bids will be rejected.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the LGFD and inspect the bidding documents at the address given in paragraph 7 below from 8.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m local time from Tuesday 24 July 2007.

6. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of one hundred United States Dollars (US$100.00) or three hundred thousand Sierra Leonean Leones (Le 300,000.00) for suppliers within Sierra Leone. Suppliers outside Sierra Leone who wish to have the documents sent to them by DHL courier service will pay an additional US$ 100.00. The method of payment will be by cash, cashier’s cheque, wire transfer or Bank Draft to the Local Government Finance Department. Suppliers whose cheques are found to be duds shall have their bids rejected. The document will be obtained personally or sent by courier services.

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 9.30 a.m. GMT on Thursday 13 September 2007. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a Bank Guarantee from a reputable commercial Bank, or a Bid-Securing Declaration. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the Conference Room at the Location indicated below at 9.30 a.m. GMT on Thursday 13 September 2007.
