Expression of Interest
(Freetown International Airport Infrastructure)

This request for Expression of Interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in Development Business on Monday June 27, 2005.

The Government of Sierra Leone has received a grant from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the Infrastructure Development Project (IDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant for the payment under the contract for the Survey and Preparation of Bidding Documents for Navigational Aids and Communications Equipment for the Freetown International Airport.

The services will include the survey and preparation of bidding documents for the procurement and installation of the following goods:

a. Instrument Landing System (ILS);

b. Doppler VOR, and;

c. Air-Ground Communications System.

The Sierra Leone Airports Authority (SLAA) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004.

Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 every weekday.

Expression of Interest must be delivered to the address below by Friday, June 15, 2007:
