services: The study will provide a broad picture of the global aeronautics
industry, including traditional manufacturers in Europe, United States,
Brazil and Canada, but also in emerging 'aeronautics countries' (China,
Japan). It will analyse the competitiveness of the European space
industry, including the subsector space related services and analyse the
impact of the institutional market and the perspectives on the commercial
market. It will assess the competitiveness of the European aerospace
industry against its global competitors, describe success factors and
weaknesses, identify challenges and describe if and how EU Member States,
regions or the European Commission could support industry in mastering the
challenges. It will describe recent key national and EU regulatory
measures which have an important impact on the sector and present basic
industry facts.

European Commission wishes to conclude a contract to study future
potential evolution of the structure of the defence industry base in the
context of the gradual establishment of the European Defence Equipment
Market (EDEM). For that purpose, the study will present the current state
of play and elaborate scenarios of evolution depending upon the modus
operandi of an EDEM.
