SPECIALIZED CONSULTING SERVICES TO SUPPORT THE MANAGEMENT OF PARÁ RURAL PROJECT
Expressions of interest


The State of Pará in the Federative Republic of Brazil, is negotiating a loan with the World Bank toward the costs of the Poverty Reduction and Management of Natural Resources of Pará Project – Pará Rural, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The services include executive support and field support in the areas of planning, programming, supervision and monitoring of the inherent programming of the various Project components Income Generation, Territorial Development (Sub-components Environmental Management and Land Administration), Policy Development and Project Management of Pará Rural, under the coordination of the Management Unit of Pará Rural. The duration of the contract is four years from the date of signature. .

The Special Secretariat for Production – SEPROD – thorough the Management Unit of Pará Rural Project now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.), previous experience in Brazil shall be taken into consideration. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition).

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by Oct 16 , 2006.
