SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE/
REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

REF. NO AMA-ASIP/PROC- 001


The Government of Ghana, has obtained a loan in the amount of USD 66 million from the African Development Bank (ADB) towards financing the costs of the Accra Sewerage Improvement Project (ASIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds to eligible payments under the contract for Engineering Consulting Services.

The services will include the following:

• Design Review and Modifications.
• Assistance in the tendering process for the works contracts, evaluation of bids, contract negotiations and contract award.

• Supervision and management of the construction and installation of all engineering works.

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly now invites consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide a statement of capability and experience indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). This advertisement is open to consultants from eligible sources countries.

A shortlist of five to seven firms will be compiled in accordance with the procedures set out in the African Development Bank’s Rules of Procedure for the Use of Consultants.

Written expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 15th November 2006 at 05:00 p.m.
