1. The Government of Republic of Uganda has received a loan from the African Development Fund in various currencies to finance the cost of the National Livestock Productivity Improvement Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for “Supply of vaccines for Brucellosis, New Castle Disease, Lumpy Skin Disease and East Coast Fever”
2. The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of vaccines for Brucellosis, New Castle Disease, Lumpy Skin Disease and East Coast Fever under the following Lots;

| A. | Brucellosis Vaccine-Freeze dried suspension of live Brucella abortus strain 19 bacteria, supplied with appropriate diluent. | 400,000 doses |
| B | New Castle Disease thermostable (Poultry) Vaccine, supplied with appropriate diluent | 6,000,000 doses |
| C | Lumpy Skin Disease Vaccine- Freeze dried, live attenuated Virus (Neethling type), supplied with appropriate diluent. | 200,000 doses |
| D | East Coast Fever Vaccine – Stabilate of Theileria parva (Muguga), Theileria parva (Kiambu5) and Theileria parva (Serengeti transformed) in equal proportions, supplied with appropriate diluent. | 8,000 doses |
Bidders are free to bid for one or more lots and bidders must bid for complete lot.

4. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ush 100,000/- per Lot.
5. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Documents: Procurement of Goods, July 2000.
6. Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 10.00am local time on 30th November 2006, and must be accompanied by a Bid Security equivalent as indicated below:

In form of a certified cheque, bank draft, an irrevocable letter of credit or Bank guarantee from a reputable Bank in Uganda or any eligible country and valid for 28 days beyond the expiry of the bid period.
7. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend, at the office of the Head Procurement and Disposal Unit, Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries Entebbe on 30th November 2006 at 11.00am local time.
