Second Line of Credit to Principal Bank for Development & Agricultural Credit

1. The Principal Bank for Development & Agricultural Credit has received a grant from the African Development Fund TAF Grant in the amount of 1 million UA towards the cost of the Second Line of Credit to Principal Bank for Development & Agricultural Credit , and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the grant to cover eligible payments under the contracts for the supply of: Sun storage upgrade in main quarter, New storage in backup site, Backup solution, (2) Line Printer, (10) Personal Computer PC.

Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible member countries as defined in the ADB's Rules of Procedure for the Procurement of Goods and Works.

2. The Principal Bank for Development & Agricultural Credit now invites sealed bids from prospective bidders for any or all of the following :
 Storage upgrade for headquarter sun cluster servers.
 Backup site storage
 External backup solution
 (2) Line Printers
 (10) Personal Computers (PC)

3. Complete sets of bidding documents may be purchased from (Principal Bank for Development & Agricultural Credit, 110 EL-Kasr El-Aini St., Cairo, Egypt, Tel: 7924670 , fax: 7941494 , Purchasing department) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$ 300, or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency, payable to Principal Bank for Development & Agricultural Credit , for each set. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the same address.




4. The instructions to bidders and general conditions of contract contained in the bidding documents comply with the Bank's Standard Bidding Documents for the Procurement of Goods July 2000.

5. Bids shall be valid for a bid period of ninety (90) days after Bid Opening and must be accompanied by the security deposits/bonds US$ 3500 to be paid in an irrevocable letter of credit or a cashier’s or certified cheek or a demand guarantee and be delivered to the Principal Bank for Development & Agricultural Credit on or before 12:00 noon local time on 16/10/2006. They will be opened in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend at Principal Bank for Development & Agricultural Credit – second floor – meeting room on 16/10/2006 at 12:30 noon local time.
