Eligibility of Bidders:   1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue No. 608 of June 16, 2003.

2. The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of Nasarawa State Health Systems Development Project II, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for the Supply and Installations of Internet Equipments, Computers, Printers, Air-Conditioners and Automatic Voltage Regulators.
3. The Nasarawa State Health Systems Development Project II now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Procurement of:

Lot 1: Supply and Installations of 2.4m C-band V-Sat RF units with intergrated DVB receive and SCPC transmit Modem at HSDPII PIU and PFMU Lafia;

Quantity is: 2 Node sites

Delivery Location: Nasarawa State Health Systems Development Project II, Project Implementation Unit, Sen. Haruna Abubakar Road, off Shendam Road, Tudun Makongiji Abdullahi Lafia, Nasarawa State Nigeria.

Lot 2: Supply and Installations of 2.4m C-band V-Sat RF units with Linkstar Satellite Modem at SMOH and SN&MW Lafia;

Quantity is: 2 Node sites

Delivery Location: SMOH and SN&MW Lafia.

Lot 3: Supply and Installations of 1.8m C-band V-Sat RF units with Linkstar Modem at SHT Keffi;

Quantity is: 1 Node site.

Delivery Location: SHT Keffi .


Lot 4: Supply and Installations of Desk-Top computers and UPS;

Quantity is: 134.

Delivery Location: Lafia and Keffi.


Lot 5: Supply and Installations of Printers, Copiers and Scanners;

Quantity is: 42 (Printers); 7 (Copiers) and 6 (Scanners).

Delivery Location: Lafia and Keffi.

Lot 6: Supply and Installations of Air-Conditioners;


Quantity is: 16.

Delivery Location: Lafia and Keffi.


Lot 7: Supply and Installations of Automatic Voltage Regulators;

Quantity is: 151.

Delivery Location: Lafia and Keffi.

Bid Security for all lots is: Not less than 4%.

Delivery schedule from date of contract award is : Sixty Days (60 days).

4. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from The Project Manager, Nasarawa State Health Systems Development Project II or magosho1@hotmail.com and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below: Nasarawa State Health Systems Development Project II, Project Implementation Unit, Sen. Haruna Abubakar Road, off Shendam Road, Tudun Makongiji Abdullahi, Lafia Nasarawa State Nigeria, from 8.00am – 4.00pm (Monday – Friday).

6. Qualifications requirements include: Registration of Contracting Company or Firm with the Corporate Affairs Commission. A margin of preference for eligible national contractors shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

7. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Ten thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only. The method of payment will be by cash or Bank Draft (payable Nasarawa State Health Systems Development Project II). The Bidding Documents will be sent by Courier Services on request or collected by hand.

8. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 11.00am, September 27, 2006. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 11.00am,September 27, 2006. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security not less than 4% of bid price.
