REPUBLIC OF CROATIA

MUNICIPAL ENVIRONMENT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT

Loan No. 4352-HR

Kaštela-Trogir Sewerage System, Phase 1: Čiovo Subsystem (B.600)

Contract No. 3 (B.600)

1. HBOR (Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development) has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of the Municipal Environment Infrastructure Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for Kaštela-Trogir Sewerage System, Phase 1: Ciovo Subsystem, Contract no. 3 (B.600).

2. Agencija EKO-Kaštelanski zaljev – Ustanova Split, Croatia, invites bidders to submit bids for the construction of Čiovo Subsystem in sealed envelopes.
The proposed works (described more in detail in Bidding Documents) are comprised of three (3) pumping stations (Miševac, Sv.Križ I Arbanija) together with appurtenant infrastructure and hydro-mechanical equipment, as well as a 3,2km long pressure pipeline and gravity sewers DN 125 mm to DN 300 mm.
Proposed commencement of the works is October 2006 and the completion is 17 months, i.e. total construction period is 24 months.

3. The bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits”, January 1995 (revised January and August 1996, September 1997 and January 1999), and is open to all bidders from those countries that are specified as eligible under the said Guidelines.

4. All interested eligible bidders may obtain any additional information from Agencija EKO-Kaštelanski zaljev – Ustanova Split, Croatia, and may purchase the Bidding Documents at the address below between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. local time.

5. The bidder's request in writing for purchase of the Bidding Documents shall be sent to the address below.
The Bidding Documents in English language shall be sent to bidders after payment of a nonrefundable fee of € 1,000 (one thousand euro), or an amount in a freely convertible currency equivalent (as per mean rate of exchange by the Croatian National Bank /HNB/ at the date of payment) paid by direct deposit with the Agency's bank Splitska banka, Account No. 20002581001, Swift code BACX HR 22, or for payment in HRK equivalent the Account No. 2330003-1100117418.
Indicated in the bidder's request in writing for purchase of the Bidding Documents shall be the name of person authorized to take over the documents in person, or the delivery address.

6. Bids should be received at the address below by September 4, 2006 (Monday) until 12:00 local time.
Attached to bids shall be Bid Security in the amount of € 40.000 (forty thousand euro), or HRK equivalent, or an equivalent amount in freely convertible currency as per mean rate of exchange by the Croatian National Bank (HNB) to remain valid for a period of twenty-eight (28) days beyond the original bid validity.
Late bids shall be rejected.
Bids will be open in the presence of designated bidders' representatives or their proxy on September 4, 2006 (Monday) at 12:00 local time.

7. Pre-bidding conference and inspection of site shall be made on August 23, 2006 (Wednesday) at 9:30 local time.
