Purpose is to identify via market research small businesses (non-brokers) who can provide level of effort services to support ship repair. It is an expression of interest only and is not intended to commit the Government to any preparation costs. Business size standard is NAICS 336611 and number of employees is 1000. The following information applies: Insulators (Yellow Badge) at Subase Ballast Point, San Diego, CA Period of Performance: 01 Aug-29 Sep 06 8 workers/1 supervisor 4500 hrs (est). Task/skills required: Remove Special Hull Treatment (SHT), descale residue, build environmental containments, i.e., walk-in or glove bag type. Containment manufacture may include woodworking, shrink wrap and/or glove bag installation. Blast and paint SHT sites and install SHT per UIPI. Fairing of hull may be required per UIPI. Work is normally done w/aerial work platform and glove bag. QA to be performed via UIPI instructions. Some areas of SHT removal/replacement may be conta minated and require nuclear qualifications.
