Eligibility of Bidders:   Bidding documents (and additional copies) may be purchased at Bauchi State Health Systems Development Project II, Ministry of Health Headquarters Opp. National Population Commission Bauchi, for a non refundable fee of Ten thousand Naira (N10,000.00) for the first lot and N5,000.00 (Five thousand Naira) for any additional lot procured or its equivalent for a freely convertible currency and be delivered to Project Manager of the same as above address.


Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Bid Opening and must be accompanied by security as stated in table above in a convertible currency, and shall be delivered to Bauchi State Health Systems Development Project II, Ministry of Health Opp. National Population Commission, on or before Thursday, August 3, 2006, 12:00 Noon, at which time they will be opened in the presence of bidders or representatives who wish to attend.

Evaluation will be on Lot by Lot basis or combination of Lots. Award shall also be on Lot by Lot basis or combination of Lots. The project will give consideration to the combination that is most economical to the Employer.

All bids shall be accompanied by a bid security specified in item 3 in Naira or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.

Qualification requirement to include Technical and financial capability to handle the project, 7.5% margin of preference for eligible national contactor/joint venture shall apply.

1. The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a Credit from International Development Association towards the cost of Bauchi State Health Systems Development Project II and intends to apply part of the funds to cover the eligible payment under the Contract for the reconstruction of Zalau, Jalam, Madara, Gololo, Galdimari, Miya, Futuk and L/Katagum Primary Health Centers. This invitation for bids follows the General Procurement notice for this project that appeared in the Development Business issued on 608 of June 16,2003

2. Bidding is open to all eligible bidders as defined in Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits.


3. The Bauchi State Health Systems Development Project II now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the under listed reconstruction works.

Lot 1: Upgrading/Rehabilitation on PHC Maternity at Zalau: Bid Security is for NGN457,000.

Lot 2:Rehabilitation of PHC Maternity at Jalam: Bid security is for NGN457,000

Lot 3: Rehabilitation of PHC at Madara: Bid Security is for NGN900,000
