Eligibility of Bidders:   A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ten thousand naira (N10, 000.00) for 1st lot and five thousand naira (N5, 000. 00) for additional lot purchased or its equivalent for a freely convertible currency or certified bank draft, and be delivered to the Project Manager .

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 22nd June, 2006. by 10:00am. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of four hundred and fifty seven thousand naira N457, 000.00 for lot 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7 while lot 3 and 8 is nine hundred thousand each N 900,000.00 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their’ representatives and anyone who choose to attend.

INVITATION FOR BIDS
(Without Prequalification)

REHABILITATION OF EIGHT (8) PRIMARY HEALTH FACILITIES IN BAUCHI STATE

This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No.608 of 16TH JUNE, 2003

2 The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the Bauchi state health systems development project II, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to cover the eligible payments under the contract for rehabilitation of 8 primary health centres (PHC).

3. The Bauchi state health systems development project II now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for rehabilitation of primary health centres in Bauchi state, as detailed below;

Lot 1: Upgrading/Rehabilitation of PHC in Zalau. Bid Security is N457,000.00.
Lot 2: Rehabilitation of PHC - Maternatiy in Jalam. Bid Secutiry is 457,000.00
Lot 3: Rehabilitation of PHC in Madara. Bid security is N900,000.00
Lot 4: Upgrading/Rehabilitaion of PHC - Clinic in Gololo. Bid security is N457,000.00
Lot 5: Upgrading/Rehabilitaion of PHC - Clinic in Galdimari. Bid security is N457,000.00
Lot 6: Rehabilitation of PCH - Maternity in Miya. Bid security is N457,000.00
Lot 7: Rehabilitation of PHC - Maternity in Futuk. Bid security is N457,000.00
Lot 8: Rehabilitation of PHC in L/Katagum. Bid security is N900,000.00

Bid validity and execution period is 120 days

4. Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004), and is open to bidders from all countries as defined in the guidelines.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information in respect of the bidding documents from the Bauchi State Health Systems Development Project II ministry of health opposite National population commission Bauchi.

6. 7. Evaluation will be on lot by lot basis or combination of lots. Award shall also be on lot by lot basis or combination of lots. The project will give consideration to the combination that is most economical to the employer.
