TARABA STATE MINISTRY OF HEALTH
HEALTH SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT PROJECT – 11

1. This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business, issue NO: 608 of 16th June, 2003.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of Taraba State Health System Development Project – 11, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Credit to payments under the contract for the Construction works at Lau, Baissa, Donga, Gembu and Ibbi.

2. The Taraba State Health System Development Project II, now invites sealed Bids from eligible bidders for the under listed construction works.

Lot 1 :
Construction of roofed walkway from ward to mortuary, Construction of two (2) number blocks of VIP latrines, Construction of a Block of General Store.

3. Bidders may Bid for one or more lots.. Evaluation will be on Lot by Lot basis or combination of Lots. Award shall also be on Lot by Lot basis or combination of Lots. The Project shall give consideration to the combination that is most economical to the Employer.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding Procedures specified in the world Banks Guidelines: Procure under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Taraba State Health System Development Project – 11 at Essential Drugs Programme Premises, Behind Taraba State Broadcasting Service office (TSBS) Complex Jalingo – Taraba State, and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 9: 00 am – 4: 00 pm, Mondays – Fridays.

6. A Complete set of bidding document in English may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non -refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira for the first set and Five Thousand Naira (N5, 000) for additional set or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency.


7. The method of payment will be by Cash or bank draft. Bidding document will be available from Tuesday 4th April, 2006

8. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:00am Tuesday 16th May 2006 accompanied by a bid security as stated above, Or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected.

9. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or representatives who choose to attend at the State Secretariat Conference Hall, Jalingo.
