INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)

This Invitation for bids follows the GPN for this Project that appeared in the Development Business Issue Number 608 of June 16, 2003.
The Kebbi State Government has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Kebbi State Health System Development Project II, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract for construction and rehabilitation of primary health centers. The Kebbi State Health System Development Project II now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for construction and rehabilitation of :

1. PHC BAGUDO (HOSPITAL BUILDING)
BAGUDO, 14 WEEKS COMPLETION PERIOD AND BID SECURITY OF USD 8,000 OR NAIRA 1,200,000.00

2. PHC BAGUDO (PERIMETER WALL) BAGUDO, COMPLETION PERIOD IS 8 WEEKS AND BID SECURITY OF USD 1,700.00 OR NAIRA 220,000;

3. PHC BAGUDO (GENERATOR HOUSE,STAFF QUATERS & MORTUARY) COMPLETION PERIOD IS 14 WEEKS AND BID SECURITY IS USD 2,100.00 OR NAIRA 370,000.00;

4.PHC SURU (HOSPITAL BUILDING) SURU COMPLETION PERIOD IS 14 WEEKS AND BID SECURITY IS USD 4,500.00 OR NAIRA 600,000.00;

5.PHC SURU (STAFF QUARTERS, MORTUARY AND GENERATOR HOUSE) SURU, COMPLETION PERIOD IS 14 WEEKS AND BID SECURITY IS USD 2,750.00 OR NAIRA 220,000.00;

6.PHC SURU (PERIMETER WALL), SURU COMPLETION PERIOD IS 8 WEEKS AND BID SECURITY IS USD 1,600.00 OR NAIRA 220,000.00;

7.PHC DANKO (HOSPITAL BUILDING), DANKO, COMPLETION PERIOD IS 14 WEEKS AND BID SECURITY IS USD 4,500.00 OR NAIRA 600,000.00

8.PHC DANKO (PERIMETER WALL) DANKO, 8 WEEKS COMPLETION PERIOD AND BID SECURITY OF 160,000.00 USD OR NAIRA 220,000.00

9.PHC DANKO (STAFF QUARTERS, MORTUARY AND GENERATOR HOUSE)DANKO,14WEEKS COMPLETION PERIOD AND BID SECURITY OF USD 2,750.00 OR NAIRA 370,000.00

Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (current edition) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from the Kebbi State Health System Development Project II at the address below during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours. A complete set of bidding documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of N10, 000 (Ten thousand Naira Only) or 80US$. The method of payment will be in cash or bank draft. The document will be sent by courier on request or may be collected by hand.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security as specified in the IFB of the bidding document and be delivered to the address below by 12 Noon on 4th April 2006. They will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at the address below. Late bids will be rejected.
