Contractor is to furnish case ready ground beef for 5 commissaries located in Hawaii, which is in the West Region of Defense Commissary Agency. The total estimated annual quantity for this requirement is 1,776,620 pounds of case ready ground beef. Products include: 73 (1, 3, 5 lb packages) 81 (1, 3, 5 lb packages) 93 (1, 3, 5 lb packages) 93 4 oz patties (8/pkg) 93 6 oz patties (4/pkg, 8/pkg) 93 8 oz patties (4/pkg, 8/pkg). The required delivery is 10 days from the order date. A Firm Fixed Price Requirements Type contract is contemplated. The period of performance shall be for one year following the start up period (usually 30 days after date of award) plus two one-year option periods. The NAICS code is 311611 with a size standard of 500 employees. A large business, which has more than 500 employees, MUST submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan in accordance with FAR 52.219-9 with its offer. Your local DCMA and/or Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) can provide assistance in developing a plan. Information on PTACs can be found at http://www.dla.mil/db/procurem.htm. The Request for Proposal will be released on or about March 2, 2006. RFP will be issued as unrestricted. Prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to contract award at http://www.ccr.gov. Certifications and Representations should be completed on-line at http://orca.bpn.gov. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered.
