The Government of Federal Republic of Nigeria has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of Health Systems Development Project II, and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for Construction and Rehabilitation of Primary Health Centers in Kebbi State. The Kebbi State Health Systems Development Project II invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction and rehabilitations of Primary Health Centers at:

LOT 1: BAGUDO (PHC)
(Hospital Building), bid security is USD 6,000.00 or N798,000.00, completion period is 8 weeks.

LOT 2: BAGUDO (PHC)
(Perimeter Wall), bid security is USD 1,440.00 or N 191,250.00, completion period is 8 weeks.

LOT 3: BAGUDO (PHC)
(Gen house, Staff Quarters & Mortuary), bid security is USD 1,791.00 or N 238,000.00, completion period is 8 weeks.

LOT 4: SURU (PHC)
(Hospital Building), bid security is USD 7,105.00 or N945,000.00, completion period is 8 weeks.

LOT 5: SURU (PHC)
(Staff Quarters, Mortuary and Gen House), bid security is USD 1,793.00 or N262,000.00, completion period is 8 weeks.

LOT 13: JEGA
(Rehabilitation of Lecture Hall & Library), bid security is USD 500.00 or N 60,000.00, completion period is 4 weeks.

LOT 14: B/KEBBI
(Rehabilitation of DPRS/HMIS Office), bid security is USD 500.00 or N 60,000.00, completion period is 4 weeks.

LOT 15: KANGIWA, GWANDU & KAOJE
(Rehabilitation of Existing Boreholes), bid security is USD 500.00 or N 60,000.00, completion period is 4 weeks.

Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (current edition) and is open to all eligible bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the address below between the hours 9:00am to 4:00pm (Mondays - Thursdays) and 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (Fridays):

Bids must be delivered to Kebbi State Health Systems Development Project II at the address below on or before 10:00 am 2nd January 2006 at , which time they will be opened in the presence of the bidders who choose to attend. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security as specified in the table under item 2 above or the equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected.

Qualified domestic contractors may be eligible to receive a margin of preference of 7.5% in bid evaluation.
