EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
1. The Federal Government has received financing from the World Bank, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the Consulting Services. The services include; -

Scope of the consulting services:
a. PROJECT OFFICE
Assessment of Project’s Manager’s system to determine if suitable for use as server
Link this system and two others in Local Area Network.
Supply of Network Operating System.
Laying of Network cables among the systems.
Active Hub or Data Link installation.
Test and ensure communication among the systems.
Procurement of reputable and reliable Internet Service Provider.
Installation of Internet Software.
Procurement of NITEL dedicated Land telephone Line.
Configuration of file server to restrict and control access to Internet services.
Training of staff who are to have access to the Internet Services.

b. MINISTRY OF HEALTH OFFICE
Identify system that would be used as saver and relocate to Library
Link this system and those of Hon. Commissioner and Permanent Secretary and any other systems needed to a Local Area Network
Supply of Network Operating System
Laying of network cables among the systems
Active Hub or Data link installation
Test and ensure communication among the systems
Procurement of reputable and reliable Internet Service Provider (same as for the Project Office)
Installation of Internet software
Procurement of NITEL dedicated land telephone line
Configuration of file server to restrict and control access to Internet services
Training of staff who are to have access to Internet services

c. SCHOOLS OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY GOMBE; SPECIALIST HOSPITAL GOMBE AND SCHOOL OF HEALTH TECH. KALTUNGO
Assess systems to confirm suitability for Internet connectivity
Link this system and one or two others, if desirable, in a Local Area Network
Supply of Network Operating System
Laying of network cables among the systems
Active Hub or Data link installation
Test and ensure communication among the systems
Procurement of reputable and reliable Internet Service Provider (same as for the Project Office) for the three (3) units
Installation of Internet software
Procurement of NITEL dedicated land telephone line
Configuration of file server to restrict and control access to Internet services
Training of staff who are to have access to Internet services

2.The assignment shall be completed within 8 weeks and reports submitted to the project after due testing commissioning have been carried out. Report of the assignment shall be submitted in four hard copies to the project. The report shall be written in English language.

3.The Gombe State Health System Development Project – II (GMSHSDP – II) now invites eligible Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

4.Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s guidelines: Selection and employment of Consultants by World Bank borrowers (current edition)

5.Interested Consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours (9:00hours – 16:00hours)

6.Expression of Interest must be delivered to the address below by November 30, 2005.
