DELTA STATE HEALTH SYSTEM
DEVELOPMENT PROJECT II

This invitation for bids follows general procurement notice for this project that appeared in the Development Business issue No 608 of June 16, 2003

2.The Federal Government of Nigeria has received from the International Development Association towards the cost of Delta State Health System Development Project II, and it intends to apply part to the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for procurement of Civil Works.

3.The Delta State Health System Development Project II now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Construction / Upgrading of the following:

a.Renovation and Upgrading of Primary Health Care Centre to Comprehensive Health Care Centre. Emevor Isoko South LGA . Bid Security: 3% of bid price with a completion of 20 weeks.

b.Renovation and Upgrading of Primary Health Care centre to Comprehensive Health Centre . Adeje Okpe LGA. Bid Security: 3% of bid price with a completion of 20 weeks

c.Renovation and Upgrading of Primary Health Care Centre to Comprehensive Health Centre. Bojo Boji Owa Ika North East LGA. Bid Security: 3% of bid price with a completion of 20 weeks.

d.Construction of Cold store building (Drug Revolving Fund) Asaba Oshimili South LGA. Bid Security: 3% of bid price with a completion of 12 weeks.

e.Construction of cold store building at General Hospital. Oleh Isoko South LGA. Bid Security: 3% of bid price with a completion of 12 weeks.

f. Construction of cold store building at General Hospital. Orerokpe- Okpe LGA. Bid Security: 3% of bid price with a completion of 12 weeks.
Bidding will be conducted through International Competitive bidding. Procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines Procurement under IBRD loans and IDA credit (Current Edition) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in this guidelines.

5.Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding document from the Delta State Health System Development Project II at the address below during office hours 8.00am-4.0pm daily. A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of N10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira) per lot or $100 per lot into the project account No 00551301005809 at Oceanic Bank PLC, Asaba.

6.All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 3% of bid price or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency and be delivered to the address below on or before 12 noon 1st November 2005. They will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence bidder’s representatives, who choose to attend at Classic Hotel, Asaba. Late bid will be rejected.
